Your vehicle runs on about half a dozen fluids, and every one of them has a different job and a different way of wearing out.
Engine oil lubricates moving parts and carries heat and combustion byproducts away. Coolant manages temperature and protects the metal in the cooling system from corrosion. Brake fluid turns your foot pressure into stopping force at the wheels. Transmission fluid lubricates and cools, and in an automatic it is also the hydraulic fluid that makes the shifts happen. Power steering fluid pushes the assist on vehicles that still use it. Differential and transfer case fluids carry gear loads on trucks and all wheel drive vehicles.
They do not wear out at the same rate or for the same reasons. Brake fluid pulls moisture out of the air. Coolant runs out of additive package long before it runs out of color. Transmission fluid cooks when it works hard, towing, hills, stop and go traffic in August. Engine oil takes on fuel and soot. A shop that services all of them on one calendar is guessing.
So we test first. On a service visit our ASE certified techs measure condition on the fluids that can be measured, check level, color, and smell on the rest, and send the digital inspection with photos to your phone so you see what we saw. If a fluid is still doing its job, we say so and we leave it alone. If it is not, we show you why and you decide what happens next.
That is how Brian and Niki have run it since 2006: put the customer over the money. Work we do is backed by our 36 month, 36,000 mile nationwide warranty.
Transmission fluid and filter service is a bigger job than a fluid check, so we quote it as its own service rather than folding it in. And when you want to know how often something is due, your owner's manual is the authority. We will read it with you.

Read the full jobThis was my first visit to Johnny’s as I recently moved to Florida from Ohio. I had a year’s long relationship with a shop up north that really dialed in on my service needs. I have a Ford Transit that is a business vehicle and requires frequent maintenance. I was really impressed with the level of service and attention to detail I received from the folks at Johnny’s. They provided the requested service and made me aware of what was on the horizon. And importantly, they didn’t try to upsell me! I had requested an alignment and they told me I didn’t need one. They could have charged me for something I didn’t need and didn’t. Much appreciated relationship building there! And the long stem yellow rose left on the dash for my wife was over the top! We’ll definitely be back!!

They've been taken care of my 2009 Ford Fusion for the last 2 to 3 years and they have done an excellent job in maintaining my 17 year old car which runs like a brand new car. And it's a blessing to deal with Rebecca, she's always on top of things

My fuel pump went out on my F150 and when the dealers were 4-6 weeks out Johnny's was able to take my truck and fix it within a week! Very grateful for their professionalism. Rebecca was great she kept in contact with me and was very responsive. This was my first-time using Johnny's but not the last. Upon picking up my vehicle my wife and I were impressed with the cleanliness and decor of the store it was very welcoming and such a friendly staff. We will see you again soon for my wife's tires and service. Thank you again for turning a dilemma into such a positive experience. The McEnroe's

The air suspension system failed on my Grand Marquis. Aaron and Harold worked on the problem and found a ride height sensor lever had “popped” off. Harold reconnected it and I was on my way home in less time than grocery shopping. Thank you, gentlemen. I highly recommend Johnny’s Automotive LLC.
