The vehicle owner reported the brake pedal had not felt right for a while, with little to no resistance, and said they felt and heard something when they slammed on the brakes about a week earlier. They had bled the brakes the day before, but it had no effect on pedal feel, and there was no visible fluid on the ground.

At our Haines City shop, the technician found the front calipers leaking, the inner and outer pads showing tapered wear, and the rotors rusted and pitted, while the rear wheel cylinders were leaking and the rear brake shoes were contaminated from fluid. The team replaced the front pads, rotors, calipers, and hoses, and replaced the rear shoes, drums, and wheel cylinders. The brake system was then serviced using a BG fluid kit and refreshed with new fluid.

The vehicle owner noticed a loud clicking noise that occurred when the door was first opened, and it sounded like it was coming from the dash area.

During the initial assessment at our Haines City shop, the technician traced the noise in the dash to the HVAC blend door motor/actuator. The team removed the components required for access and replaced the HVAC blend door motor/actuator.

The vehicle owner reported a loud, constant roaring noise at any speed. The only time the noise went away was when the vehicle came to a complete stop.

During the initial assessment, the technician found two failed wheel bearings: the left front bearing was extremely loose and noisy, and the right rear bearing was also loose and noisy. The team removed the components needed to access the left front wheel bearing, installed a replacement, and made the required adjustments. The same process was then carried out on the right rear wheel bearing. Both repairs were retested and verified.

A final road test confirmed the repair, and the vehicle left our Haines City shop without the constant roaring noise, for a total of $1162.

The vehicle owner brought the vehicle in with the check engine light on and asked for a check and advise. The vehicle had a history code for range performance from when it was in the previous week.

The technician performed an initial diagnosis, testing and inspection of the engine concern for the check engine light. The team then performed an automatic transmission program and re-learn, which included a software update for the new transmission, the driving and break in procedure, and computer re-learn and programming at our Haines City shop.
