Your vehicle runs on about half a dozen fluids, and every one of them has a different job and a different way of wearing out.
Engine oil lubricates moving parts and carries heat and combustion byproducts away. Coolant manages temperature and protects the metal in the cooling system from corrosion. Brake fluid turns your foot pressure into stopping force at the wheels. Transmission fluid lubricates and cools, and in an automatic it is also the hydraulic fluid that makes the shifts happen. Power steering fluid pushes the assist on vehicles that still use it. Differential and transfer case fluids carry gear loads on trucks and all wheel drive vehicles.
They do not wear out at the same rate or for the same reasons. Brake fluid pulls moisture out of the air. Coolant runs out of additive package long before it runs out of color. Transmission fluid cooks when it works hard, towing, hills, stop and go traffic in August. Engine oil takes on fuel and soot. A shop that services all of them on one calendar is guessing.
So we test first. On a service visit our ASE certified techs measure condition on the fluids that can be measured, check level, color, and smell on the rest, and send the digital inspection with photos to your phone so you see what we saw. If a fluid is still doing its job, we say so and we leave it alone. If it is not, we show you why and you decide what happens next.
That is how Brian and Niki have run it since 2006: put the customer over the money. Work we do is backed by our 36 month, 36,000 mile nationwide warranty.
Transmission fluid and filter service is a bigger job than a fluid check, so we quote it as its own service rather than folding it in. And when you want to know how often something is due, your owner's manual is the authority. We will read it with you.

Read the full jobWe stopped in with my 2021 Jeep Wrangler because my AC wasn’t working. They took it back almost immediately, diagnosed it for $140, and gave us two estimates on what it will cost to repair. We’ve decided to bring it back next week to have the work done by them as they offer a 3 year/ 36k warranty, and the man was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. I wish we would have taken my husband’s Cadillac there before we ended up trading it in due too to many expensive issues.

Johnny’s in Lake Wales was great!! Sahra listened to what was going on with the Jeep and the technicians were able to diagnose the problem and fix it. We will definitely go back there!! Hopefully only for routine maintenance.

I had my 2014 Jeep grand Cherokee in for an oil leak. Jerry quickly diagnosed the problem. Scheduled appointment for the following day. I dropped the Jeep off with Kevin and Sarah stated they would give me an update later that day. I received a call that my jeep was finished. I came in and when I picked up the jeep, the bill was a little lower than they had originally quoted. It was a great experience for me and I would definitely recommend them to all my friends!

My Jeep started acting up on Tuesday 12/05/23 on my way home from work almost got stranded out in the middle of nowhere. Called Johns the next morning and they got me in on Thursday 12/07/23 first thing. I got a call back with in a couple of hours with a text detailed report with pictures showing what was wrong. Also gave me a report as to what should be done over the next 3-6 months to avoid huge repair cost on the future. As my Jeep is getting close to 100.000 miles. Once additional work completed the tech said I will have a great running safe vehicle. The problem that almost got Mr stranded was key SAFETY things the dealership missed on its 120 point inspection when I took it in for a oil change 2 weeks ago. At Nissan Hill and previous break work done at Tuffy's in July, They missed rear bearings we shot. I will no longer take my vehicles to a dealerships or other place, I will only be dealing with Johnny's in Lake Wales from now on..for my Jeep and my wife Nissan.. Once work is completed on my Jeep we taking my Wife Nissan in for inspection to see what the dealership may have missed on her car so we don't run in to this issue of things missed and the end up with huge repair bill in the thousands. The very nice young lady at the front desk. Gave me single rose for me to give my wife. To help her feel better because of other places not doing there job this a costly repairs. My wife just lite up and got very teary eyed and smiled. They make you feel like family the moment you walk in the door. They don't rush you and help you find a way to do repairs in states as long they (Johnny's) knows the vehicle will be safe on the road.. And with the distance I drive for work. The tech said for your safety these list of things has to be done others we could probably do in stages but not to far apart. Jeff & Jennifer.
