Sixty thousand miles is mid-life for most vehicles, and it is the interval where the schedule stops being filters and starts including real work.

Why this one is bigger. On many vehicles this is where fluids that were left alone at 30,000 come up for the first time, where brakes are often into their second set, and where the manufacturer starts listing items that were not on the early service sheets at all. Transmission fluid is the common conversation here. Coolant comes due on some vehicles around now and not for a long while on others. None of that is universal, which is the whole point: your manual decides, and we read it before we quote anything.

The used car version of this page. A lot of vehicles change hands right around this mileage, so we see plenty of cars where the honest answer to what was done is nobody knows. That is a normal place to start. We inspect everything, measure what can be measured, look at fluid condition instead of guessing at history, and send the photos to your phone so you can see what we saw. Then we build a plan from the vehicle in front of us rather than from a service book that was never filled in.

How we sequence it. If the list is long, we do not expect you to do all of it in one visit. We sort it into what affects safety, what protects something expensive, and what can wait until next time, and we tell you which is which. You decide the order.
