Had an early morning nail in tire on the way out of town for a baseball tournament. Sensor light kept us from getting on SR 60 with confidence. Did a quick U-turn to hopefully find a nearby open garage at 7:15 am. Johnny's was rolling up their doors before 7:30 a.m. MJ got us fixed up in under 5 minutes. The stars aligned & we are SO VERY GRATEFUL for establishments like this!!! We will be on time to our game in Ft. Pierce! Thank you MJ!!!!

This location has plenty of space, indoor and outdoor to perform work, and everyone seems really focused and dedicated. This location carries the same standard that Johnnys performs at other locations, which is usually hard to come by for a company. Loved their energy and enthusiasm

Diesel Cranks but Won't Start: What Was the Cause?

The vehicle owner reported that the vehicle wouldn't start and that it cranks but will not start.

The technician performed diagnostic time on the no-start concern and then replaced the fuel injector, with the diesel fuel injector labor included in the valve cover job. The valve cover with gaskets was also replaced to address an oil leak, and a new AGM battery and a diesel oil change were completed on the same visit. The notes do not state the specific cause of the no-start.

Oil Leak From Up High on a 2011 F-350 6.7 Diesel

The owner of a 2011 Ford F350 6.7 reported an oil leak from up high on the engine. The owner suspected the vacuum pump bolt or something close to it and asked for a diagnosis.

The technician at our Frostproof shop worked on the oil leak by replacing the vacuum pump seal, removing and reinstalling the components needed to reach it. The repair also covered the oil leak items around the turbocharger, lines and seals as needed. The team also programmed a module re-learn for the new fuel tank during the same visit.

AC Had Zero Freon and Needed UV Dye Leak Check

The technician found the AC system had 0.00 lbs of freon. At our Frostproof shop, the technician connected the AC equipment, evacuated the system of contaminates, verified system pressures, then charged it with R134A refrigerant and the proper oil capacity and leak tested it. UV dye was added, and the vehicle owner was told to return if the vehicle blows warm again so the team could search for the dye with special UV glasses at no charge.

What Caused Smoke and a Burning Smell From the AC Vents?

The vehicle owner reported that the air conditioning made a loud noise and then produced a burning smell, with smoke blowing through the vent. The A/C had been blowing cold air normally before this, and the owner pulled the A/C fuse and had left the A/C off since.

The vehicle was brought to our Frostproof shop, where the team started with an initial assessment at no charge. The technician then performed a wire set repair, removing and replacing components as required to access and install the materials. The job notes call for a retest to verify the repair as required.
