Wiper Blade Replacement at our Wauchula shop

Wiper rubber has a rough life in Florida. It bakes on the glass in parking lots all summer, then gets asked to work overtime the second the afternoon storms roll in. Heat hardens the rubber and the edge splits, and once that edge is gone the blade stops wiping and starts smearing.

What worn blades look like. Streaks that are still there after two or three passes. Chatter, that skipping squeak across the glass. A strip right in your line of sight that never quite clears. Rubber pulling loose from the frame at one end.

This one you can check yourself. Blades are one of the few things on a car you can judge without a lift or a scan tool. Lift the arm and run a finger down the rubber edge. Smooth and flexible means you're fine. Ragged, hard, or split means it's done. We'd rather you know how to check than have to take our word for it, and if yours are still good we'll tell you that and move on to whatever you actually came in for.

We check the washers at the same time. Blades and washers do the same job together, so we look at the fluid level and make sure both nozzles spray where they're supposed to. A clogged or misaimed nozzle will make brand new blades look bad. It takes a minute and it comes with the work.

Clear glass is just easier driving, especially in a July downpour on the way home.
