What the customer reported
The vehicle owner reported a no start. The vehicle would not turn over.
What we found and did
The battery failed testing: it was dead and would not take a charge. The technician installed a Die Hard Gold battery. The starter motor was the main concern since the vehicle would not turn over, so the technician removed and replaced the starter motor, retested, and verified the repair. A full synthetic oil change to vehicle specs was also done during the visit.

Car Towed In After Starter Swap Didn't Fix No-Start
What the customer reported
The vehicle was towed in because it wouldn't start and the check engine light was on. The owner had already replaced the starter thinking that was the problem and asked the shop to test the old starter to verify if it was bad.
What we found and did
The technician found the starting point fuse was blown in the battery fuse block under the hood, leaving the vehicle with no power. The technician removed and replaced components as required to access and install the materials for the battery fuse block repair, then retested to verify the repair as required.

How do you tell a fuel problem from a spark problem?
By testing them separately rather than by symptom. We measure fuel pressure and check whether the computer is commanding the injectors, then confirm the ignition system is producing spark while the engine cranks. Whichever one is missing gets pursued, and if both are present we move on to compression.
I put in a new battery and it still won't start. What now?
A new battery rules out one link, not the whole circuit. Cables, grounds, the starter and its signal path, or a charging system that's been killing batteries can all produce the same symptom. That's the point of testing the path instead of replacing along it.
